We did a lot research before deciding to raise and breed Kunekunes.

They are small domestic breed from New Zealand

Kunekune means "fat and round" in the Maori language

As a pet or breeding pig.

Length  average 4 ft long

Height average 24 inches tall

Females  weight 120  to 200 lbs

Males weight 200 to 300 lbs

Can live to b 15 to 20 yrs old

Kunekunes are very docile and easy to handle.

They are easy on the land and fences.

They are grazers and do not root, they will turn over the top soil occasionally but they prefer to graze

They love attention including belly rubs and being petted.

As meat pigs

Because they are slow growers they are considered Lard pigs.

High fat percentage

Butcher weight at 14 to 16 months

The meat is considered the Koby beef of pork.
